I am currently in my sixth year serving as Chaplain for the Sheriffs Association of Texas, and part of my duties, along with the honor of serving, is to meet with the Board of Directors before and during each conference to plan for the conference that year, and to work on the budget for the Association, which is a non-profit organization.

Consider His pre-existence. Jesus didn't begin when He was born. Before He became Jesus of Nazareth, He was the Son of God. He always was and will be the God-Man.

Apparently County Judge John Gonzales and the county commissioners don't get the idea behind the State Laws that require them to go out to bids on purchases for more than $50,000.

Bidding laws are intended to get the best deal for the taxpayers --not the worst deal. That's what happened last week when commissioners chose the high bidder over two lower bids.
