LOUISE KING was honored at a birthday celebration on Wednesday, October 31, at Casa Blanca Restaurant. The 9 a.m. birthday breakfast was attended by approximately 40 friends. Miss King grew up in East Texas, near the small community of Douglas, and is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. She arrived in Raymondville in 1946 to become the Home Demonstration Agent in Willacy County. The birthday event was hosted by Rebecca and F.G. Page of Las Vegas, NV, former Raymondville residents. Her actual birthday in Nov. 7, when she will welcome her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Sullivan of Dallas and her brother, Rev. Bobby King of Douglas, to celebrate her special day.
