Terry White called the Chronicle/ News office on Oct. 31 to say that he did not authorize a candidate for the Willacy County Navigation District board to use his name in connection with his candidacy.

"I told him that I planned to vote for the best qualified candidate in the election, I did not tell him that I intended to vote for him," White said.

In a political ad in the Oct. 31, Chronicle News, the candidate, Raul Flores, claimed that Terry White was supporting him in the election.
