ALBERT CURTIS SHED Albert Curtis Shed died on October 31, 2007. He was born in Oakalla, TX on September 22, 1939 to Bonnie and Albert Shed. He lived most of his life in Willacy County and graduated from Lyford High School in 1957. In 1962, he graduated from Texas A&I University where he was a member of the National Championship football team. He taught school for a few years before going to work for Farm Bureau as an insurance agent for Willacy County in 1968. He worked for them until 1985 when he bought an independent insurance agency. He worked there until 2000 when he retired from insurance and worked as a real estate broker until his death. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Robin Harris, sons Sheldon (Bunkie) of San Antonio, and Staton (Amber) of Katy, four grandchildren, Shelbie Shed of San Antonio, Oren Curtis, Parker and Evan Shed of Katy, and brother Lester Shed (Shirley) of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his parents Bonnie and Albert Shed, two brothers, Ervin Shed of Pearsall and Kenneth Shed of Lampasas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Raymondville. Graveside services were Friday, November 2, at the Lyford Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Waters, Vern Tobias, Ed Willis, Scooter McGee, Scott Campbell, Ed Shaar, and Steve Shed.
