GRAND PRAIRIE - Arturo R. Serna, 61, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, surrounded by his family.

He was born March 9, 1946, in Raymondville and had been a longtime resident of Grand Prairie. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rebecca Serna of Grand Prairie; son, Jodavid Serna of Grand Prairie; daughters, Ruth Ann Lopez and husband, Eddie, of Dallas, Sandra Rowell and husband, Ernest, of Arlington and Cynthia Bortzfield and husband, Robert, of Venus; mother, Herminia Reyes of Grand Prairie; grandmother, Adela Reyes of Raymondville; brothers, Jesus Serna, Jr. and Erasmo Serna; sister, Yolanda Santos, all of Grand Prairie; and the eight grandchildren.

Funeral was held Oct. 17 at Woodland West Church of Christ, Arlington. Interment was at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
