Crecencio "Chris" Gamez, 66, of Saginaw, MI, formerly of Raymondville, died Sunday, February 17, 2008. He was born to Abdon and Atanacia (Perez) Gamez. He was born September 14, 1941 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

He retired after 32 years of service at General Motors Grey Iron Plant in Saginaw. He married Jerri L. Carlton on February 28, 1977 in Saginaw.

He is survived by his wife, Jerri; three children, Anthony (Kim) Gamez of Saginaw, Shane (Victoria) Gamez of Prescott and Michelle Gamez (Bryan Neumeyer) of Prescott; nine grandchildren; one brother, Domingo (Elizabeth) Gamez of Clarksville, TN; three sisters, Valintina (Amador) Villanueva of Mexico, Joaquina (Ramon) Flores of Raymondville and Cipriana (Dimas, Jr.) Dominguez of Saginaw; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service took place at Cederberg & Brietzke Funeral Home in Saginaw with Pastor Ulysses Garcia officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery.
