Hipolito Ruiz, 93, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.

He is survived by his wife, Consuelo H. Ruiz of Raymondville; seven sons, Rogelio and Reynaldo Ruiz both of Raymondville, Guadalupe Ruiz of Lyford, Jesus Ruiz of Houston, Hipolito, Jr. and Daniel Ruiz both of Raymondville and Pablo Ruiz of Austin; two daughters, Elodia R. Coy of Raymondville and Maria R. Gonzalez of Harlingen. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Chapel services were held Saturday, February 23, at Duddlesten Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
