Ramiro Reyna, 53, was burned to death early Tuesday morning when a fire broke out at his home at 783 W. Main Street, in Raymondville. Fire Chief Frank Torres said the EMS received a telephone call at 4:10 a.m. and reached the scene a few minutes later only to find it totally engulfed in flames. Torres said he was told that Reyna came out of the home and then returned possibly believing that someone else was still inside. All the windows were covered by metal burglar bars, Torres said. Reyna is believed to have worked for 19 years at the Lasara ISD.
