LYFORD - Anita Gutierrez, 70, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at her home in San Antonio.

She is survived by her three daughters, San Juanita (Paul) Rocha of San Antonio, JoAnn (James) Burnett of San Antonio and Kathy (Ruben) Perez of Lyford; three sons, Ricardo Gutierrez of San Antonio, Paul (Mitchell) Gutierrez of Houston and Jesus (Vicky) Gutierrez of Lyford; five step-sons, Juan (Sylvia) and Tomas (Becky) Gutierrez both of Raymondville, Eustacio Gutierrez of Corpus Christi, Nacho Gonzales and Robert Gonzales both of San Antonio; one sister, Olivia Gutierez of Houston. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eustacio Gutierrez in 2002.

A rosary was recited Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Duddlesten Chapel. Funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lyford. Burial was at Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.
