Eliodoro Chapa Perales, Sr., 68 died Monday, December 29, 2008 at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen.

He was born October 29, 1940 to Jose Perales, Sr. and Delfina Chapa Perales.

He was preceded in death by both his parents; two sisters, Ventura P. Flores and Carolina Perales; one brother, Jose Perales, Jr. and one granddaughter, Amanda Nicole Perales; and infant son, Freddy Perales.

A rosary will be recited Thursday, 7 p.m., at Duddlesten Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, January 2, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by his three sons, Eliodoro Perales, Jr. of Raymondville, Roy (Sylvia) Perales of Corpus Christi and Danny Perales of Harlingen; one daughter, Becky Perales (Cosme, Jr.) Rubalcaba of Raymondville; his children's mother, Eva Perales, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Josie Oviedo of La Paz, Indiana, Inez (Amado) Garcia of North Judson, Indiana, Gloria Reyes of Nappanee, Indiana and Norma Farias of Plymouth, Indiana; one brother, Ruben (Estella) Perales of Pompano Beach, Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
