PORT MANSFIELD - Frances LaVerne Stewart, 79, died Monday, December 22, 2008 at her home in Port Mansfield.

She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church of Lyford.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie E. Stewart of Port Mansfield; one son, John (Laurie) Stewart of Arnansas Pass; one daughter, Sybil Naumer of Glorietta, NM; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Don Williams and Kenneth Williams both of McKinney, TX and Billy Williams of Waco; three sisters, Christine Reckley and Delores Joles both of Corsicana, TX and Carolyn Nash of Longview. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Doug Stewart; two brothers, Bob and Jim Williams; one sister, Sue Williams.

Graveside services were Wednesday at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery with Len Powell officiating.

Pallbearers were Charlie Stewart, John Stewart, Cody Stewart, Buddy Salmon, Frank Romano, Milton Snell and Greg Stewart.
