ROWENA PEARL HART
She was born August 12, 1922 in Buffalo, OK to Sterling and Ivy Reed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Chester Hart, Sr. Her survivors include one brother, Eldon (Erica) Reed of Torrey, Utah and 4 children; Sonny (June) Hart of Tulsa, OK, Linda (Fedo) Garcia of Harlingen, Martha (Kirk) Loftin of San Antonio, and Mark Hart (Jamie) of Tulsa, OK, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Lois Hart of Raymondville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rowena had resided in Willacy County since her husband's completion of his military tour of duty in WWII. They were involved in the church, farming and conservation. They moved to Harlingen in 1984. A celebration of her life and graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Restlawn Memorial in La Feria with Harold Parker officiating.
