1,000 bed ICE Unit addition for housing illegal aliens will open on Feb. 1st

      The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) department will begin using the 1,000 bed addition in the Raymondville Industrial Park to house more illegal aliens on February 1st, according to local officials.

Failed lawsuits part of $723 thousand in legal fees

      Ernesto "El Gallito" Gonzales whose hiring was never approved by Willacy County commissioners withdrew a second lawsuit on Tuesday, that he had filed last year for back pay. Gonzales, who practices law in Harlingen, has not been seen in the Willacy County courthouse for three or four months.
