JUAN LOSOLLA HERNANDEZ

Juan Losolla Hernandez, 85, a life-long resident of Willacy County died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical in Harlingen.

He was born March 9, 1923 in Raymondville to Porfirio Hernandez and Pomposa Losolla Hernandez. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Consuelo B. Hernandez, his son, Mateo B. Hernandez, Sr., three sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by three daughters: Irene Hernandez, Felipa (Ramon) Salazar, Marcela (Oscar) Espinosa, and two sons, Juan (Joaquina) Hernandez, and Joe B. (Ida) Hernandez all of Raymondville. He is also survived by one brother, Santiago L. Hernandez of Lyford along with 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is being held today, Wednesday, June 18, at the Hernandez Funeral Home Chapel from 10 a.m. through 9 p.m. with a prayer service to be conducted by Pastor Juan Cantu at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume tomorrow morning, Thursday, June 19 in the chapel at 9 a.m. until the commencement of a 10 a.m. funeral service. Interment will follow at Raymondville Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funeral Home.
