      The varsity Bearkats kicked off their 2008 football pre-season at La Joya with a 5-2 scrimmage victory over first year 4-A Lincoln Juarez. A good mixture of run and pass lead to over 500 yards of offense. Quarterback Cippy Villareal had two rushing scores (70,8) and 2 passing scores (70, 43).
