Local school districts see increase in enrollment except for Raymondville/Lyford
RISD attributes 100+ student drop to Hurricane Dolly

      The Lasara Independent School District (ISD) saw a 12 percent jump in first day of school enrollment while neighboring Raymondville ISD saw a five percent decline in enrollment. San Perlita and Sarita ISD's saw slight gains while Lyford remained flat.

      An separated arm from an unknown woman was discovered by a county worker partially submerged under a bridge on County Road 345 over a drainage canal in northeastern Willacy County on Tuesday, according to the Willacy County Sheriff's Department.
