Sebastian woman brutally stabbed in her apartment
Suspect treated for electrocution while in county jail

     A 25-year-old Sebastian woman was stabbed five times with two kitchen knives on Saturday morning by a man who knew her deceased husband. Sarah Anne Cruz-Montalvo was transported to Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen where she underwent emergency surgery to close multiple wounds.

     Lyford will have a place again to sit down and eat, after the Country Kitchen turned into the latest gambling arcade earlier this year. Resident Margaret Fonseca got the nod from commissioners to reopen her restaurant starting today.

     Precinct 1 Constable Victor Flores received permission to add a deputy constable position to his precinct for on the job training purposes. Lasara residents will start seeing Beckie (B.J.) Ohm riding along with Flores in his patrol vehicle.
