ERNEST WESLEY EGGLESTON, JR.

Ernest Wesley Eggleston, Jr. died Monday, December 22, 2008. He was born on August 22, 1928 to Mattie and Ernest Wesley Eggleston, Sr. in Agua Dulce, TX. During the early part of his life, he served 12 years in the U.S. Army National Guard 36th Division of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lawrence Swayze, and two sisters, Florene Swayze Morrison and Peggy Eggleston Sanderson.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, JoAnn Eggleston; two sons, Ernest Wesley Eggleston, III, and Vince Eggleston, two daughters: Beth (Joe) Ortiz of Fort Worth and Shirley (Jar) Vasquez of San Antonio. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Buster Eggleston, Amber Eggleston, Hannah Vasquez, and Lillie Vasquez and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of Duddlesten Funeral Home with burial at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Elgin, TX.
