WAITING ON LINE TO DONATE are Jim Nelson, NE: Bonnie Petri TN,: and Duane Wulfkuhle, KS Mary Erickson of WI is donating on the cot. Gateway RV Park and United Blood Services hosted a blood drive last week. Twenty-five units of blood was collected.

While we did not get the information of the donors, we know that Paul Badker of Wisconsin was one of the top donors that day. He has donated more than 22 gallons of blood. In visiting with him, he has donated in three countries besides the U.S. While visiting in Africa his daughter became ill and was in the hospital.

Paul asked what they needed and he was told "blood" so he rolled up his sleeve and donated. Jim Nelson of NE was another donor who has given more than 15 gallons. Both of these donors are type "O" and can be used for anyone needing blood regardless of blood type. There may have been others who have donated many times. Each one was very much appreciated by those waiting for blood supplies in the Valley area.
