Pedro A. Silva, Sr., 74, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 at his home in Raymondville. A rosary will be recited Thursday, 7 p.m. at Duddlesten Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, 2 p.m., Feb. 27, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lydia Silva of Raymondville; four sons, Jose F. Silva of Dallas, Pedro Silva, Jr. of Portage, MI, David A. Silva of NC and Ricardo Silva of Augusta, GA; three sisters, Mercedes Rivera of Hidalgo, Celia Abrigo of Taylor, MI and Petra Silva of McAllen; 14 brothers, Cipriano Gonzalez of Edinburg, Cayetano Silva of Houston, Albino, Christobal, Roberto, Raul, Alfredo and Francisco Silva all of CA, Guadalupe Silva of San Antonio, Pedro Silva of Edinburg, Leandro Silva of Las Vegas, Julio and Pablo Silva both of Mission. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
