Census Bureau to hire local workers

The United States Census Bureau is leasing space in Raymondvilles American Legion Hall to hire and train workers for the 2010 United States Census.

Begining March 11 and again on March 18, 20, and 30 representatives of the Census Bureau will be on hand to interview prospective employees and begin training.

They will return on April 10, 17 and 30 to complete local hiring and training.

The census comes every 10 years and every man, woman and child in the United States is required to be counted

Census jobs pay $11 to $16 an hour and the census will require 18 months to complete according to Justice of the Peace George Solis.
