Antonio Mata, 67, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Retama Manor Nursing Home in Raymondville. A prayer service was held Tuesday, 7 p.m., at Duddlesten Chapel. Funeral services were held Wednesday, 10 a.m., March 18, at Duddlesten Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by his one daughter, Esmer (Javier) Quiroga of Raymondville; one brother, Silvestre Mata, Jr. of Georgia; two sisters, Rosa Guajardo and Rosa Avila both of Houston. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
