LASARA, TX - Marcos R. Garza, Sr., 82, of LaSara, entered into rest Friday, March 27, 2009. He was born Sunday, February 13, 1927 at the Colimas Ranch, son of the late Marcos Garza and Flora Olivares.

He is survived by one son, Ivan Garza of Edinburg, four daughters: Irma D. Duran of McAllen, Idolina Reyna of Harlingen, Diana M. Perez of Houston and Gloria E. Nieto of LaSara, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was pre- ceded in death by his wife, Estela, one son, Marcos Jr. and three brothers. A rosary will be recited at Duddlesten Funeral Home, 7 p.m. Sunday, and funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe 10 a.m. Monday with interment in the LaSara Cemetery.
