Aaron J. Vidaurri has qualified for the 2009 Private Schools Interscholastic Association Academic State Meet to be held on May 2 at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. He recently competed in the PSIA District Meet held at St. Paul's Academy in Harlingen and placed 1st in Creative Writing with his story, "The Missing Stopwatch."

Aaron is a first grader at St. Anthony School in Harlingen. His grandparents are Evelyn Longoria and Samuel Salinas of Raymondville and Augustin and Guadalupe Vidaurri of Corpus Christi.

He is the son of Augustin and Selyna Vidaurri of Harlingen.
