Carolina Martinez Moreno, 93, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Retama Manor Nursing Home in Raymondville. A rosary was recited Friday at Duddlesten Chapel. Funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, April 4, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment followed at the Raymondville Cemetery.

She lived in Willacy County all her life. Special thanks to Cima Hospice, Dr. Todd Shenkenberg, Md., and Retama Manor Nursing Home.

She is survived by her sons, Jose Luis (Molly Moreno) and Jose Angel (Pilar) Moreno both of Raymondville; one brother, Martin Martinez of Houston and one sister, Louisa Castaneda of Houston. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo S. Moreno and daughter Marin Ermila Moreno; six sisters and four brothers.

Pallbearers were Miguel Angel Moreno, Marco Antonio Moreno, Jose Luis Moreno, Jr., David Moreno, Eric Moreno and Oscar Moreno. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Anita and Angelica Maria Moreno.
