MILDRED EVELYN NATIONS MORROW
Harlingen, TX - Our Lord and Savior Jesus escorted our mother, Mildred Evelyn Nations Morrow to heaven on April 18, 2009.
She was born in Combes, Texas to Otha Andrew Nations and Miriam Lucille Rucker Nations on January 20, 1927. She graduated from Lyford High School and attended Texas A & I University in Kingsville, TX.
Mildred was a homemaker, gardener, and pre-K teacher. Although she was a very private and quiet, she was a true servant and counselor, unselfishly and tirelessly meeting the needs of many who were brought across her path.
She loved birds and animals, flowers and trees and revered all of God's Creation. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family and especially her grandchildren. She cherished her family and friends and was continually an intercessory prayer warrior. She faced life with vigor, courage, curiosity, and zealous faith - never doubting the faithfulness of God.
She was preceded by her parents; two brothers, Cmdr. Travis D. Nations, US Navy, retired of San Diego, CA and George Lloyd Nations of Houston, TX; and a sisterin law, Naomi (Polly) Nations of Houston, TX.
