Running unopposed Lyford CISD trustee Mike Hinojosa got 514 votes in the May 9th election to remain as Place 1 trustee.

In Place 2 incumbent board president Cruz Salinas won by a comfortable margin with 447 votes to San Juanita "Janie" Arredondo's 268 votes.

In Place 6 the incumbent, Oscar Garcia, Jr., was reelected with 390 votes to his opponent, Viola Z. Vela's 324 votes.

And in Place 7, Janie G. Solis, the incumbent, won with 377 votes to Jaime Rodriguez' 350 votes.

Lyford CISD Superintendent Eduardo Infante said that the results are unofficial pending canvassing at a special school board meeting on Thursday, May 14.
