LYFORD - Billy Evertt Dunkin, 67, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, TX.

Bill was born October 23, 1941 in Raymondville, TX. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Fay Jones Dunkin.

He was survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Dunkin; two daughters, Debra Boling of Green River, WY, Kristi Dunkin (Darrell) of Big Sandy, TX; one son, David Dunkin (Dana) of La Marque, TX; seven grandchildren, Amber Teshendorf of Wichita, KS, Heather Teschendorf of Harlingen, Jadelyn Teshendorf of Green River, WY, Dustin Boling of Green River, WY, Sydney and Andrew Wright of Big Sandy, TX, Gracelyn Dunkin of La Marque, TX, Father Evertt Dunkin of Perry Grove, AR; two sisters, Linda Waggoner (Jack) of Lyford, Neila Webster of Lubbock, TX; one brother, Hugh Dunkin (Becky) of Haleyville, OK and numerous family members and friends.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy, worked for Valley Telephone Co-op for 7 years and GTE/Verizon for 31 years.

Memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Lyford on Friday, May 15, at 2 p.m., officiated by Reverend John Smith.
