Pedro G. Moreno, Sr., 71, loving husband, great father and wonderful grandfather passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009 at his home in Raymondville. A rosary was recited Sunday, 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral mass was celebrated Monday, June 22, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment followed at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by his three daughters, Lorinda Moreno and Cris (Sam) Baker both of Raymondville and Janie (John) Gonzales of Lasara; two sons, Pete, Jr. and Frank Moreno both of Raymondville; one brother, Jose Yerena of Bakersfield, CA; six sisters, Isabel (+Julio) Rodriguez of Raymondville, Julia (Salvador) Villegas of Lyford, Gloria (Eleazar) Garcia and Elia (Ramon) Gomez all of Raymondville, Ernestina Yerena Torres of Montemorelos, N.L., Mexico and Lela Yerena Morales of Monterrey, Mexico. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Olga P. Moreno, mother, Josefa Moreno; parents, Amador Yerena and Simona Torres; brothers, Alfredo Moreno and Arturo Yerena; sisters, Alida Moreno, Maria Falcon and Lucila Yerena Torres and granddaughter, Mary Jo Gonzales.

Military graveside service was conducted by the Raymondville American Legion Post #390 and V.F.W. #6719.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Duddlesten Funeral Home.
