Barbecued brisket on a bun will be served Friday, Sept. 25 starting at 11 a.m. at Raymondville First United Methodist Church. The meat will be cooked until melt-in-your- mouth tender on a barbecue pit, and the portions will be generous.

"The brown bag lunch will include chips and a drink, and each lunch will include a 'prayer to go' so that even those in a hurry and on the move can take a moment to say grace and thank God for their meal," said the Rev. Janna Hawes.

"We will be selling tickets and taking orders for delivery in advance."
