Hwy. 77.
Deputy Eddie Rodriguez, Communications officer with the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Dept., said that Adan Hernandez was arrested and treated for minor injuries sustained in the rollover.
Hernandez was wanted on charges of the endangerment of children in connection with a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old left on the side of a highway on Sunday.
Deputy Rodriguez said it is believed that Hernandez agreed to take the toddlers, a boy and a girl, to Houston but apparently got scared and abandoned them.
Sheriff's deputies returned the kids to their mother and had been looking for the suspect when his Ford Ranger pickup was spotted early Tuesday afternoon. The rollover near Lyford happened at about 3:15 p.m.
