FAREWELL CEREMONY- About 500 Rio Grande Valley National Guardsmen were deployed to Iraq. Among the group were 10 Willacy County Guardsmen. A farewell ceremony was last Saturday at Bob Lackey Stadium in Weslaco. Shown are ( l to r) J.R. Delgado, Noe Trevino, Lyford Commissioner Wally Solis, and Andrew Delgado. All four are from Lyford. The group will return to the Rio Grande Valley in a year.
