A SMALL GROUP OF PARISHIONERS FROM PRINCE OF PEACE -LYFORD, AND OTHER VALLEY PARISHES VISITED OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE IN MEXICO CITY. For many this was their first time in Mexico City. They arrived in Toluca, Mexico on Saturday where they were greeted by Father Octavio Escobar former Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Angels in LaJoya, TX (2006-2007), Prince of Peace - Lyford, TX. 2007-2009 and Our Lady of Mercy - Mercedes, TX. (2009). Father Octavio accompanied the group throughout their visit which begun in Toluca, MX. First visit was to the museum of “Orden de la Merced de Toluca - Culture Institute,” followed by a relaxing afternoon filled with good food and fellowship in Xochimilco. On Sunday after celebrating mass at the Seminary Chapel, the group continued on their pilgrimage to the Basilica in Mexico City where they visited our Beloved Mother - Our Lady of Guadalupe.
