GROUNDBREAKING FOR LYFORD CITY PARK Local officials met on Monday at 4:30 p.m. to dedicate the site for the city's new playgound and park. The $40,000 park was made possible by a $20,000 grant from the Texas Parks & Wildlife department and a match put up by the City of Lyford. When completed the city will have covered picnic tables and grills and playground equipment for the kids. It will be located next to the basketball pavilion.
