I am Eliberto Guerra, County Commissioner for Pct. 1-5 in Willacy County. I am responding to the unhappy constituent with her concern about the problem with the project that we have on Lopez Road.

I have been in office for one year and I am committed in working hard and do what I can with what I have and do the right thing for the county.

I thank you for your concern and bringing this to my attention this way I can find out where the problems are and take care of them as soon as possible.

The project on Lopez Road, first of all, I stopped on this project because of the African Killer bee problem in this area. When we would try to get something done, the bees would get upset and create a dangerous situation.

Second the rain has not been any help, but I do thank God for the rain for the local ranchers and farms. I am currently looking into making sure the bees have totally been diminished before we proceed with this project on Lopez Road.
