Amelia G. Perez, 80, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.

She is survived by her five sons, Xavier Perez of Raymondville, Gerardo (Guadalupe) Perez of Harlingen, Hector (Elizabeth) Perez, Horacio and Sergio Perez all of Raymondville; two daughters, Rosario (Juan) Hernandez and Laura (Jerry) Gomez both of Raymondville; six step-brothers, David, Joey, George, Mario, Lionel and Rodrigo Gutierrez; four sisters, Esperanza Whitis, Diana Monroy, Mari Saldana and Carolina Percle. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Cristina Garcia, Amy Hernandez, Zackery and Nicolas Perez, David Gomez, Sara and Stephanie Perez.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
