GLAFIRO CISNEROS
Glafiro Cisneros, Sr., 86, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at his home in Raymondville, TX. A rosary was recited Friday, 7 p.m. at Duddlesten Chapel. Funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, 10 a.m., December 26, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment followed at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Audelia S. Cisneros of Raymondville; three sons, Ramiro “Milo” (Isaura) Cisneros of Edinburg, Alfredo (Lydia) Cisneros of Raymondville and Glafiro, Jr. (Pearl) Cisneros of Harlingen; two daughters, Gloria Cisneros of Raymondville and Esmeralda (Roberto, Jr.) Zamora of Raymondville; one brother, Manuel Cisneros of Raymondville. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Cynthia Ann, Chriselda Ann and Cassandra Ann Cisneros; two great grandchildren, Christopher Jacob and Cierra Lynn Cisneros.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Xavier and Adelina Cisneros; one sister and three brothers, Estefanita, Jose, Arnoldo and Ramiro Cisneros.
Mr. Cisneros served in the U.S. Army 1950-1951 and Army Reserves Feb. 11, 1953 through 1956. He worked for the Department of Texas for 32 years and retired in 1984 from the maintenance dept. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing, carpentry and helping his children with different projects. He enjoyed his grand-daughters and greatgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were Arnoldo Cisneros, Jr., Alejandro Cisneros, C.J. Cisneros, Michael Chavez, Rudy Tamez, Jr. and Carlos Perez.
