Award winning family singers featured

First Baptist - The awardwinning Link Family will be performing at First Baptist Church this Sunday, January 17th at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. This singing group is a true family band, featuring Dad, Mom, five children and two in-laws from Lebanon, Missouri. They travel all over the country in their Silver Eagle bus sharing bluegrass and gospel music in churches, bluegrass festivals, theaters, Silver Dollar City, US Military bases, RV parks and more. The Link Family and its band members have received five nominations from the Midwest SPBGMA 2009: Vocal group of the year Gospel group of the year Contemporary group of the year Female contemporary female vocalist of the year (Becky) Fiddle performer of the year (Kyle)

Each member of the family participates during performances. Rachel brings to the group a strong lead and harmony voice while playing mandolin, guitar and bass. Kyle plays all the instruments on stage, mostly fiddle and guitar while singing lead and harmony.Benjamin also plays all the instruments on stage, mostly banjo, sings lead and harmony. Aaron sings lead and plays the fiddle while John sings lead and is learning mandolin. Becky plays rhythm guitar and bass while singing lead and harmony and Lance brings in the foundation sound on the bass fiddle, sings bass as well as being our bus driver and manager. Landen is the sound man and Ashley adds twin fiddling with Kyle.

First Baptist Church of Raymondville will be hosting the two performances. The Link Family will be providing music during the 11:00 AM worship service and will be presenting a full concert at 2:00 PM. Both events will take place at First Baptist Church, 301 N. 5th.
