SAN PERLITA - Gabriela Delgado, 70, passed away with her husband and loving family by her bedside on Wednesday, January 6, 2009.

Gabriela was born on September 21, 1939 in Dimmit County, Texas to Ramon Delgado and Tereza Villarreal Delgado who preceded her in death along with a daughter, Mary Ester Delgado.

Survivors include her husband, Pedro Delgado of San Perlita, TX, seven daughters, Teresa Delgado of Alabama, Felicitas “Fela” Hernandez; Martina Delgado, both of San Benito, TX, Isabel Delgado, Narcisa Delgado and Angela Delgado all of San Perlita, Irma (Phillip) Reyes of Austin, TX, three sons: Francisco “Frank” Delgado of Alabama, Pedro Jr. (Victoria) Delgado of Odessa, TX and Luis (Marissa) Delgado of Weslaco, TX, three brothers: Ramon Quintero, Vicente Quintero and Jose Luis Quintero and seven sisters: Narcisa Garcia, Belen Pena, Maria Fuentes, Aurora, Dee Dee Wilson, Rosa Fisher, and Janie; three brothers, Ramon Quintero, Vicente Quintero and Jose Luis Quintero; twenty four grandchildren and fifteen greatgrandchildren also survive Gabriela.

Viewing was held on Friday, January 8, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with Hector Ramirez reciting the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Hernandez Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends met at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, for the viewing of many memorial events on video she shared with them. Father ‘Mac’ celebrated the funeral mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Raymondville. Interment followed at the Raymondville Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as Gabriela’s pallbearers were Pedro Delgado, Jr., Francisco Delgado, Luis Delgado, Eric Trevino, Stormy Cruz, Anthony Cruz, Danny Hernandez and Ricky Hernandez, Jr.
