GRAND PRAIRIE/RAYMONDVILLE, TX - Herminia Reyes Serna, 83, was united with her Heavenly Father, Thursday, January 21 2010 while in a local hospital. Chapel services were held Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m., at Duddlesten Funearl Home Chapel. Interment followed at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Herminia was born November 16, 1926 in Edinburg, TX. She moved to Grand Prairie in 1968 with her late husband, Jesus Garcia Serna. She was a hard worker and retired from Johnson & Johnson in 1988 after 10 years of loyal service. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Herminia was preceded in death by her father, Avelino Reyes and son, Arturo Serna.

Herminia is survived by her mother, Adela Diaz Reyes of Raymondville, two sons, Jesus, II (Eva) Serna and Erasmo Serna both of Grand Prairie; one daughter, Yolanda Santos of Grand Prairie; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Serna of Grand Prairie; two brothers, Rogerio Reyes of Vidalia, LA and Andres Reyes of Edinburg, TX; two sisters, Emma Rodriguez and Ofelia Morin both of Raymondville. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
