C.T. CHAPPELL
C.T. Chappell joined his Lord and Savior Saturday, January 30, 2010 after a lengthly battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Arp, TX on August 12, 1931 to Joseph and Ada Chappell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Barbara M. Chappell and two loving sons, Charles R. (Rhona) Chappell and Jerry D. (Samantha) Chappell both of Raymondville. He is also survived by his grandchildren who he loved playing with, Reagan Chappell, Savannah Chappell, Cameron Chappell, Jake Chappell and Connor Chappell. His brother, Harvey Chappell of Austin; sisters, Marie Gray of Fredericksburg, Thelma Towne of Massachusetts, Faye Walker of New Braunfels, TX, Jane Murphy of San Antonio, Ann Ayers of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; one sister, Ruth Holloman.
C.T. put his heart and soul into farming for over 50 years, serving on many commitees and boards of directors. He received a service award in recognition of outstanding support in agriculture education. He was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Raymondville and was 32nd Degree Mason.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Raymondville. Burial will follow at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to United We Build Fund at First Baptist Church in Raymondville, 301 N. 5th, Raymondville, TX, 78580.
Pallbearers will be Reagan Chappell, Tom Ivey, Bill Pogue, Matt Walker, Wayne Perrault and Mark Brown.
