SARA C. MEDINA

Sara C. Medina, 89, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at her home in Raymondville, TX. A rosary was recited Sunday, January 24, at 7 p.m. at Duddlesten Chapel. Funeral services were held Monday, January 25, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment followed at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

She is survived by her four daughters, Juanita Cardenas Macias of Raymondville, Maria C. (John) Therien of Wilmington, NC, Elvira (Arnold) Mungia of Raymondville and sister, Faye Medina, O.P. of Fall River, MA; five sons, Santos Cavazos of Houston, Dimas (Fernanda Wieble) Cavazos of Arizona, Ezequiel “Zeke” (Janice) Cavazos of Texas City, TX, Juan Guadalupe Cavazos of Houston and Ernesto “Lefty (Gloria) Cavazos of Raymondville; son-in-law, Juan Rodriguez of Houston; seven sisters, San Juana Yarritu, Julia and Joaquina Guerrero all of Donna, Maria Garcia of La Mesa, Elena Guadiana of Raymondville, Juliana G. Pierce of Alta Loma, CA and Rizalda G. Vasquez of Houston; two brothers, Gregorio Guadiana of Nacogdoches and Pedro Guerrero of Donna and niece, Maria Isabel Vasquez of Raymondville. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Victor Cardenas, Dimas Cavazos and Luis Medina; daughter, Margarita Rodriguez; two sisters, Maria Guadiana and Juanita Garcia; three brothers, Valentin, Amador and Joaquin Guerrero.
