Cristina Najera, 91, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde, TX. A prayer service was held Sunday, 7 p.m., at Duddlesten Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service was held Monday, 1 p.m., February 8, at Nueva Vida En Cristo Church. Interment followed at Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

She is survived by her six sons, Felipe Najera of Uvalde, Manuel Najera of Garinsville, GA, Margarito Najera, Jr. of Ventura, CA, Jesus Najera of Uvalde, Henry Najera of Raymondville and James Najera of Uvalde; five daughters, Maria Lira and Janie Chavez, both of Uvalde, Consuelo Najera of Moorhead, MN, Aurora Gracia of Belton, TX and Ninfa Najera of Uvalde; one brother, Steve Mendoza of Donna. She is also survived by 48 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren and 8 greatgreat grandchildren.
