Sizer publishes new history of Army Rangers
Mona D. Sizer
The GLORY GUYS, The Story of the U. S. Army Rangers is Mona D. Sizer’s first hardcover national release from Rowman Littlefield Publishing Group. She spent over a year researching and writing it and is especially happy that her cousin Robert L. Pickett, a former Viet Nam and Korean War veteran was pleased to write the final chapter on Ranger Training School in Fort Benning, GA. Ms. Sizer is the author of over thirty books (over a quarter of a billion words) of fiction, biography, history, memoir, poetry, and true-crime.
This graduate of Raymondville High School (sometime in the previous century) is a former school and college teacher. She has taught seminars at writers conferences all over the country. Ten years ago she and her husband of 48 years moved to the Valley to live in Harlingen and enjoy the good life. He fishes; she writes. She is currently planning to partipate in the RGV International Poetry Festival in April. Her next book yet to be proposed to RLPG is tentatively titled THE BOMBARDIERS.
