Business was brisk at the early voting office in the old county sheriff’s office on West Main Street. At the end of the day 200 votes had been cast in the races to elect local and state wide officials.

Early voting goes on the rest of this week and next week before election day on March 2.

There are five candidates for county judge and several other candidates are running for Pct. 2 & 4 Commissioners and justice of the peace.

Meanwhile, the county clerk, district clerk and county treasurer are running unopposed for re-election.
