NEW STRIPES CONVENIENCE STORE OPEN FOR BUSINESS - Not every city celebrates the opening of a new convenience store but in Raymondville it is considered a sign of progress. On Friday the new Stripes opened at the intersection of North Exp. 77 frontage road and State Hwy. 186 just across the street from McDonald’s. Sandy Rodriguez of Santa Rosa is the store manager. She previously managed a Stripes store in Harlingen for 5 years. There are now two Stripes stores in our community, both sell Valero gasoline and offer hot food to go as well as grocery products.
