OU player arrested on disorderly conduct complaint
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A University of Oklahoma football player has been released from jail after being arrested for allegedly urinating on bar stools outside a Bricktown nightclub.
According to an Oklahoma City police report, Austin Box was taken into custody about 2 a.m. Saturday on a disorderly conduct complaint. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail and later released.
The report says Box was standing below the entrance to the Skky Bar when he walked to a corner on a balcony and urinated. Police say Box told them he was made to leave the bar and that “he had to go.”
A March 29 court date has been set for the 21-year-old linebacker, who has 70 career tackles.
Athletics Department spokesman Kenny Mossman didn't immediately return a call seeking comment Monday.
