HARLINGEN - Ruben Garcia, 62, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2010 at his home in La Feria, TX. A rosary was recited Thursday, 7 p.m., at Duddlesten Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass was celebrated Friday, 3 p.m., February 12, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment followed at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Garcia of Harlingen; two daughters, Erica and Normalinda Garcia, both of Harlingen, one stepdaughter, Christy Salinas of Harlingen; two step-sons, David Salinas of Harlingen and Gilbert Salinas of Raymondville; six sisters, Rafaela Lerma of Raymondville, Enriqueta Villarreal of Austwell, TX, Carolina Tijerina of Edcouch, Elsa De Leon of Pharr, Irene Silva of Lasara and Emma Cortinas of Raymondville; two brothers, Conrado Garcia of Raymondville and Raul Garcia of San Juan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Adrian Salinas and his parents, Emiterio and Maria Garcia.

Pallbearers were Gilbert Salinas, Gilbert Salinas, Saul Pena, Robert Cortinas, Jr., Leroy Sauceda, Javier Sandoval, David Salinas and Michael Ruelas.
