MIKEY GOMEZ, age 12, is shown here receiving a trophy for 2nd best chicken in the youth category at the Stoney Point FFA cook-off in Round Rock,Texas. Mikey comes from a long line of cooks in the family. His great grandfather, the late Daniel P. Gomez, was a cook at the King Ranch and operated Danny’s Family Restaurant in Raymondville. His great-grandma, Adela Guzman, is also known as a very good cook here in Raymondville and his Dad, Mike Gomez, Jr. formerly of Raymondville has been participating successfully in several cook offs across Texas. Little Mikey enjoys traveling with his dad and uncles to all the cook offs and has picked up quite a few skills. The “Lazy G Team” has become a regular at cook-offs.

Little Mikey is the grandson of Mike and Betty Gomez of Raymondville and the son of Mike and Jessica Gomez and Trish Gomez all Kerrville, TX.
