Lenten Penance Services

Lenten Penance Services are scheduled for the people of Willacy County during these last three weeks before Easter. In Prince of Peace in Lyford, March 24t; in Our Lady of Guadalupe in Raymondville, March 31st; in St. Patrick's in Lasara on March 17th; in St. Anne's in San Perlita on March 23rd ; and in St. Frances in Hargill on March 25th ALL THE PENANCE SERVICES BEGIN AT 6:30 PM and we expect to have at least four priests for confessions in Lyford and Raymondville.

Stations of the Cross led by Raymondville High School Students will take place on March 31St at 5:45 PM in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. The beautiful stations which were made by local artist Elmer Kochert will be blessed and placed on the walls of the Church. Everyone is welcome.

The Stations of the Cross are celebrated in all of the Catholic Churches at 6PM on every Friday.

The Knights of Columbus will have a Lenten Fish Fry on March 26th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM until they run out of fish. The plates will cost $5.00 and the proceeds will help the Knights and the Parish with their expenses.

During the Holy Saturday Easter Vigil celebration, on the evening of April 3rd 25 young people will receive Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation completing a two year preparation called RCIA, the Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults.
